Offender Profile Data

CSCDs are required by CJAD standards to collect offender profile data in order to define target populations for new or enhanced programs, services and facilities. The profile forms are due to TDCJ-CJAD with the completed community justice plans required by law each biennium.

Samples of 1,040 felony and 1,257 misdemeanor community supervision cases were selected, who were offenders on active direct caseload supervision as of August 31, 2000. The following tables outline the profiled data on demographic characteristics, offense distribution, case classification risk and needs levels of profiled offenders and primary needs.

In addition to community supervision profiles, in FY '00, 196 felony revokes and 518 misdemeanor revokes were profiled. This number included the total number of offenders revoked, which was 714. The following tables report demographic characteristics, offense distribution, case classification risk and need levels and primary needs for the revoked populations.
