The following chart illustrates the number of intakes by age grouping. The age distribution of the population continues to show a greater portion of the older one, with 44% (70) of the intakes in the 30 or older age group.

The distribution of race has remained relatively stable since FY ’93 with the Anglo population dominating the number of intakes.

Overall intakes decreased from FY ’99. The Anglo population decreased 2%, while the African-American population increased 8%. The Hispanic population decreased 3%. The following chart illustrates the race distribution for FY ’00.
